.on.the.cusp.
ah, yes. it's that time. on the cusp. just one night of brief sleep before an early morning flight. flight bringing me closer to the future. steps away from my next move. so many more decisions to make. to work or not to work. where to live. how to live. what to do. so many options. living life. loving life.

First of, congrats on your starting law school. I think you will make a very good lawyer. Secondly, congrats on your move. I am sure you will love NYC.
Just a few comments about your ex. I don't know this guy, but he for sure sounds like an ass. I think you should not let this guy back in your life ever again. From your posts, it seems as though your guys relationship was not healthy anytime after the initial 30 days. You don't need this kind of crap. You are beautiful, smart and very loving. You don't need this guy. Just forget him and move on. You will be aiight without him. You are going to meet someone in NYC that will treat you better and above all respect you.
As far as school is concerned, this is my advice. The first year of law school is a lot of work. You should just study as hard as you can your first year and be in the top 10 of your class. The second year is not that bad, but the third year is fairly easy going. Mind you, I am married to an attorney. The first year was very stressful for the both of us.
To conclude, you are an INDEPENDENT woman. You don't need anyone telling you that you aint good enough, or that you don't show much affection. Screw that. If this guy got mad and broke-up with you because you forgot his birtday, shit, you should be glad you realized this side of him before you committed more of your time to this jerk. TAYA, don't call this guy ever. He is childish. I think my 15 year old sis would forgive me for forgetting her birthday. I would understand her crying about it because she is 15. OH! maybe before I make any assumptions. Was this guy older than 15 :) If not, then the blame is on you. Otherwise, let him go. You don't need his childish crying ass.
Mind you, I am not doctor Phil. This is just how I feel about you situation.
Enjoy NYC. Let me know what books are you using. My wife is trying to get rid of her law school books. We have a bunch just sitting in our basement. If you are going to be using any of the ones she used,I will just send them to you.
Cheers, and Keep your head up g/f.
