I haven't written in so long. I've thought of stories and should have written them down at the time but I didn't. It's crazy that now that my life has finally slowed down and I am not travelling with work, I feel like I have less time not more.
I've started my daily routine. Get up later than I should. Shower. Feed the puppy. Hurriedly get ready for work. Leave the apt late. Get stuck in rush hour traffic. Go to work. Do minimal research and work (for the lack of direction not the lack of desire). Go home for lunch. Play with the puppy. Feed the puppy. Eat lunch. Drive back to work. Sit and debate whether this work is something I really want to be doing. Get caught up in some project. Leave work. Get stuck in traffic. Get home. Play with the puppy. Call friends. Eat dinner. Hang out with the boyfriend. Go home. Play with the puppy. Go to bed.
I enjoy this routine right now but I am definitely a little concerned about it becoming monotonous. So this is why I don't write. I haven't really figured out my life. Nor have I figured out a way to portray the confusion in my life. So I do nothing. I need to motivate and join a gym. Exercise and get back into shape. Think about doing a triathalon. I need to do things that keep me motivated and don't drag me down into a routine that will bore me.
And now, it's time for lunch. And I'm sure this will be the unexciting blog that closes out the month. Until Monday....

I'm expecting!!

A puppy! She will come into my life as of Monday, April 17th. She's a little toy poodle that is expected to not be much more than 4 pounds full grown. :) That's her on the left.
A long time ago as I pined over the fact that I really, really wanted a puppy, I picked out a name. Norton. I just assumed that I'd make sure I got a male puppy so that would be no problem but now, the puppy that I am getting is a female. I'm thinking that I can reclaim the name Norton and make it asexual. Or I can just wait until she and I hang out for a few days and figure out what name seems to be appropriate.
I am reading websites and books like crazy to make sure I have everything she needs and that I train her in a humane but effective way. I'm just so nervous about making the right decisions for my new pup! I'm so excited to have a new addition to the apartment! :)
